Windhoek: Pension "Moni"

Website: www.monihotel.com

Very nice guesthouse (Bed & Breakfast – no dinner!). Day and night watched parking site. Recommendable!

Waterberg: Waterberg Plateau Park

Website: www.nwr.com.na/waterberg_camp.html

Nice bungalows in phantasmagoric position beneath the plateau rim with Waterberg and Kalahari view. Good starting point for walking-tours. Restaurant and pool on the area of the resort. Very recommendable!

Tsumeb: "Minen Hotel"

Website: africa-adventure.org/m/minen/

Original, but definitely too expensive. Good restaurant.

Etosha (East Gate): "Mokuti Lodge"

Website: www.resafrica.net/mokuti-lodge

Very dignified, first-rate "Boma" barbecue. Giraffes and Bonteboks on the area!

Etosha: Okaukuejo Resort

Website: www.nwr.com.na/okaukuejo_camp.html

Illuminated waterhole, visited by rhinos in the evening. At night you are escorted by Black-backed Jackals on your way to the toilet house. The restaurant was disappointing. Too few toilets for that many people on the campground. There are also bungalows, but they were fully booked a year before our travel! (On the other hand we enjoyed camping.)

Khorixas: Khorixas Rest Camp

Website: www.namibiareservations.com/khorixasrestcampe.html

Simple bungalows with refrigerator and water heater, but no cooker. Good restaurant, swimming pool. Pleasing grounds.

Uis: B&B "The White Lady"

Website: www.africa-adventure.org/t/thewhite/

The day before we booked a quarter in former habitations of mine workers, but we finally didn't accept it because of a lack of protection from housebreaking. The helpful owner of the (fully booked) "B&B White Lady" put us up for the night in his grandpa's private house. In the B&B (very nice grounds!) we only had breakfast.

Swakopmund: "Hotel d'Avignon"

Website: www.natron.net/tour/davignon/main.html

Simple, located centrally (Bed & Breakfast – no dinner!). Barred parking site.

Solitaire: Solitaire Guest Farm

Website: www.solitaireguestfarm.com/

Phantasmagoric situated and beautiful grounds, prettily furnished rooms. Friendly hosts, first-rate meal. Very recommendable!

Namib / Sesriem: Sesriem Campground

Website: www.nwr.com.na/sesriem.html

Giant campsites with small separate barbecues. Tiny pool. Very limited shopping facility!

Helmeringhausen: Hotel Helmeringhausen

Website: www.helmeringhausen.com

Very nice hotel, pretty grounds with pool. First-rate meal. Very recommendable!

Fish River Canyon: Cañon Lodge (self-catering unit)

Website: www.namibiareservations.com/canone.html

Original lodging in a former fort. Beautiful surrounding with lots of quiver-trees. Self-catering kitchen and fireplace in the common room. (No shopping facility at all! You must bring all consumer goods like dish liquid or matches with you!) Good starting point for an excursion to the Fish River Canyon. Very recommendable!

Keetmannshoop: "Central Lodge"

Website: www.central-lodge.com

Nice hotel with passable restaurant.

Mariental: Campground Hardap Damm

Website: www.nwr.com.na/hardap_camp.html

Good starting point for an excursion to the game drive.
